Bebat
Bebat (for BElgian BATteries) is a Belgian organization that collects, sorts and recycles used batteries and educates consumers about why they should not throw batteries and their harmful chemicals in the garbage. The goal of the campaign is to educate consumers, especially children who are heavy batteries users, that used batteries should be returned to Bebat collection boxes, some 20,000 of them in supermarkets, gas stations and other places throughout the country. Bebat then recycles the used batteries into a wide variety of products from wheelbarrows to watering cans to eyeglass frames.
