There are some creatives who believe that pretty design can do no wrong. Then there are creatives, like David, who see greater value in design that’s not only aesthetically pleasing and creative but also has the power to influence people in the best possible way. He likes to cite the No. 1 commandment of the legendary David Ogilvy: “Your role is to sell; don’t let anything distract you from the sole purpose of advertising.”

With more than 16 years of experience in a hybrid role of creative designer and brand strategist, he is now at the helm of Paprika Global, where he started out as a designer. David has been instrumental in building the agency from a small local digital outfit to a multi-disciplinary creative agency, capable of running regional marketing campaigns.

David is known to be able to create brand experiences that are unforgettable, in a nice Nat King Cole sort of way. But you would do well not to badmouth the Manchester United Football Club if you don’t want a one-on-one football face-off with him. When not working on a creative project, you're likely to find him with his family, enjoying the café scene in Singapore or staying young by working out, running or kicking a ball.
