Collaborating across the Pacific, ICOM members Olomana Loomis ISC (OLISC) in Hawaii and ADEX Nihon Advertising Co. in Japan are assisting Waiākea Hawaiian Volcanic Water as it enters the dynamic Japanese market. With a presence in more than 45,000 U.S. retailers, Waiākea is a fast-growing consumer packaged goods (CPG) brand with a mission to effect change through sustainable practices.
As Waiākea gears up for its Tokyo debut in late 2023, market research guided by OLISC and ADEX has tapped into deep insights about Japan consumers. The translation of Waiākea’s brand internationally goes beyond language and seeks to create societal and cultural relevance by sharing aloha with the world while giving back to the community in Hawai‘i. Through a thoughtful, data-driven approach, OLISC and ADEX are helping Waiākea craft a strategic and culturally-relevant plan for the brand’s rollout.
