Healthcare workers and their families have always been considered heroes, but never more so than in the midst of the 2020 COVID-19 global pandemic. The average person can feel pretty powerless in their ability to help these heroes. As an advertising agency with several healthcare clients, US-based ICOM agency Lewis had been dedicating endless hours to helping them navigate the current and future state of their business, but it didn't feel like enough.
While the staff at Lewis' healthcare clients work tirelessly to care for their communities, their families and personal lives at home have been greatly affected by all of the chaos. Lewis wanted to find a way to do more for the frontline staff and their families. So they called their friends at Shipt, a fellow local Birmingham business and Lewis client well known for their contactless grocery delivery service.
Lewis proposed an idea to Shipt: would they be willing to offer yearly delivery memberships (a $99 value) to their healthcare clients’ employees? They didn’t even bat an eye. They said yes immediately. Shipt ended up providing over 8,000 free yearly grocery delivery memberships to healthcare staff around the nation.
