US ICOM agency FARM has partnered with fellow US ICOM agency Olomana Loomis on a market study for two of Olomana Loomis’ clients, Maryknoll School and Hanalani Schools. Pathfinder, FARM's research and business intelligence sibling company, is executing a regional study aiming to assess the current state of the market regarding the impact of recent world events on attitudes toward private versus public education among families of school age children (K-12) in O’ahu.
Through 1:1 interviews and an online survey for each school Pathfinder will evaluate perceptions and decision factors in the selection of the specific educational institutions in the area. Online focus groups will be conducted following to explore reactions to various strategies to identify the best “fit” and provide a complete view of the environment, what can be done to impact it, and most importantly, what will have the greatest positive influence on enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year, but also this school year with regard to the global pandemic. The long distance relationship from New York to Hawaii has gone smoothly in finding meeting and interview times that work for everyone as well as taking the time to understand cultural differences at the start of the project.
