Agencies in Pakistan and Switzerland selected for ICOM membership

ROLLINSVILLE, COLORADO (USA)--ICOM, a leading global network of independent and marketing communications agencies, has appointed Channel 7 Communications, Islamabad, and m.a.d. brand care, Basel, to represent the network in Pakistan and Switzerland, respectively.

Based in the country’s capital, 18-year-old Channel 7, has a number of government clients, both from the federal government and the European Union, as well as the United Nations. With offices in Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad, Pakistan, and a staff of 57, the agency also serves clients in fast food, do-it-yourself, textiles, cosmetics, software, health care and education.

Twelve-year-old m.a.d. brand care focuses on integrated brand management and has a diverse list of clients in the business-to-business, consumer and institutional sectors. Among its clients are the Swiss Football Association, (soccer) and the area representative for VW, Audi, Porsche, Seat and Skoda autos.

Both agencies, wanting to remain independent and a force in their own markets, are looking for a resource providing regional and international support.

ICOM is the most geographically balanced of the international independent advertising and marketing communications networks, with more than 70 member agencies in 50-plus countries. Founded in 1950 as the National Federation of Advertising Agencies, ICOM offers clients an alternative to the huge and increasingly similar agency groups. Today, the network has billings of US$2.4 billion and gross income exceeding US$390 million.
