That spirit started way back in the 1950s with a group of advertising and marketing agencies joining forces to support the rapid expansion of one of the world’s largest fast-food chains. We quickly realized that growth on a global scale required us to act with the freedom and bravery of independents while breaking down the barriers between our resources, making every single one of us stronger.

We are a fiercely independent network owned by its members. Unlike traditional agency holding companies that own their agencies, ICOM is led by the very agencies that make up the network. This unique structure ensures our members maintain their independence, free from the constraints and restrictions of a parent company.
And unlike other independent agency networks, our members are also non-competing, fostering a unique environment of transparency and trust that enables open professional and personal cooperation and the sharing of insights without conflicts of interest. They collaborate by choice and this model allows each agency to remain agile, relevant, and competitive on an international scale.
