ROLLINSVILLE, COLORADO (USA) \u2013\u00a0ICOM<\/a>, the world\u2019s largest global network of independent advertising and marketing communications agencies, has appointed Sydney-based\u00a0AMBA<\/a>\u00a0Communications to represent the network in Australia.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2001, AMBA is a mid-sized integrated agency of more than 25 professionals led by industry veterans. The agency works with a wide variety of local and international clients, across a broad range of categories and activities. The client list includes Australand, a leading Australian diversified property developer; IDEXX Laboratories, global market leader in animal diagnostics; IKU Wholefood, chain of fast-food restaurants offering vegan macrobiotic selections; Key Pharmaceuticals, leading Australian over-the counter pharmaceutical manufacturer; Pantera Press book publishers and The WD-40 Co., global marketer of maintenance products, homecare and cleaning brands.<\/p>\n

Agency principal Peter O\u2019Leary said, \u201cWe\u2019re looking forward to aligning with like-minded agencies to share ideas and experiences. Our industry keeps evolving and we see joining ICOM as another opportunity to network with professionals to stay ahead of trends.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that he also sees an opportunity through ICOM to better serve local clients in international locations. \u201cWe have an increasing number of clients using our concepts in other markets. They are asking us to assist more and more with international expansion.\u201d<\/p>\n

ICOM offers the broadest geographic coverage of any network of independent advertising and marketing communications agencies through more than 90 member agencies in 65-plus countries.<\/p>\n

In welcoming AMBA, ICOM Executive Director Gary Burandt said he was impressed with AMBA\u2019s spirit and enthusiasm. \u201cThe agency will make significant contributions to the network,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

ICOM<\/a>\u00a0is the world\u2019s largest independent network of advertising and marketing communications agencies. Annual billings total US$3.5 billion with gross income exceeding US$500 million.<\/p>\n
