ROLLINSVILLE, COLORADO (USA) –\u00a0ICOM, the largest global network of independent advertising and marketing communications agencies, has appointed Troika Imagineering Works, Johannesburg, to represent the network in South Africa.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1993, Troika is a mid-sized integrated brand communications agency that provides strategy, content creation and production services to a number of national and global B2B and consumer clients. Two global companies, Sappi, a leading paper and pulp company, and Dimension Data, worldwide leader in information and communication technology solutions and services, have been Troika clients almost since the agency opened its doors, and several others have long-standing relationships moving into the second decade. Experienced senior management including founders Graham Rothschild and Neill Moross lead a young team that stays tuned in to current trends. Social media management is one of Troika\u2019s newest service offerings.<\/p>\n

ICOM Executive Director Gary Burandt said Troika\u2019s commitment to remaining independent, its philosophy of principal-involvement and answering only to clients reflect ICOM\u2019s values and thinking, making it an excellent fit for ICOM.<\/p>\n

In explaining why Troika wanted to join ICOM, Mr. Rothschild said Troika wants to participate in the international market by having solid, ongoing relationships with like-minded agencies but without having to give up its independence. \u201cWe want to partner with members that may have clients looking for servicing here in South Africa as well as rely on partners to customize and tailor campaigns we create for our clients in their markets. Gaining access to information in and about other markets is important to us too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Troika becomes the eighth member of ICOM\u2019s African region, joining agencies in Ghana (two members), Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.<\/p>\n

ICOM offers the broadest geographic coverage of any network of independent advertising and marketing communications agencies through more than 90 member agencies in 65-plus countries.<\/p>\n

ICOM i<hs the world\u2019s largest independent network of advertising and marketing communications agencies. Annual billings total US $3.5 billion with gross income exceeding US $500 million.<\/h<\/a><\/p>\n
