Back to School Campaign for FACELA

Keeping good relations with the media and other service providers pays off big time.  In October we were referred to  FACELA, the leading school supplies provider in El Salvador, because they were looking for an agency to help them out with their back to school campaign. After meeting with them and introducing ourselves, work began with a creative and media plan focused on their goals and targets.

The campaign began in December and continued on until January, with presence in Billboards, Outdoor Digital Screen, Newspapers, Back to School Calendars (printed in newspapers), TV, and Radio.

Social media also played a big part in our campaign, so we decided to create a fan site on Facebook for FACELA (corporate) and CARIBE (colored pencil brand) with its character TUKY the Toucan.

The back to school campaign was a success in sales even though their advertising investment was three times less than their main competitor, BIC. The distribuitors (retailers) of the brand ran out of stock during the season, while BIC retailers weren’t able to do so.

The next step with this client is presenting a communications strategy for its internal and external customers in order to keep FACELA as the leader in his category.
