about

Lopito, Ileana & Howie - Guaynabo, Puerto Rico

Tere began her advertising career at the young age of six when she wrote an advertising jingle on a toy piano so that her parents would take her to the neighborhood ice cream shop. Ever since, advertising and writing have been an important part of her life. In the 80s, she took a break from the working world to earn a degree from Harvard University, and immediately returned to her roots.

Prior to joining Lopito, Ileana & Howie, she worked with local and U.S. Hispanic market affiliates of multinational agencies such as the former DDB Needham, FCB, Ogilvy and Saatchi & Saatchi, where her teams’ campaigns have won many awards – Cannes, New York Festivals, AHAA and the local Cúspides. She says even more important is that they’ve earned clients a ton of market share.

She is the author of two books of short fiction, a children's book and two books on Puerto Rican culture. Most important she can still sing the ice cream store jingle.
