Agencies in Canada, China and Taiwan selected for ICOM membership

ICOM, one of the world’s leading independent networks of marketing communications agencies based in Rollinsville, Colo., USA, has selected agencies in Canada, China and Taiwan for membership to represent important markets to the network. The new members are Quarry Integrated Communications, Waterloo, Ont.; Rayken Brand Communication, Guangzhou; and United Advertising, Taipei.

“We are pleased to welcome these new members,” said ICOM Executive Director Gary Burandt. “These agencies have done excellent work for international clients, and their managements have experience working in networks, which are important qualifications.”

The agencies in Canada and China have offices in major cities in their countries to be close to clients in various markets. All offer integrated services, serve a range of international and local businesses and want to remain independent while having a strong connection to the international marketplace.

“We are continuing to expand the network as part of our ongoing effort to maintain, strengthen and add capabilities so that we are prepared to handle accounts wherever our clients need us,” Mr. Burandt said.

ICOM offers clients an alternative to the huge and increasingly similar agency groups. The group of more than 75 agencies in 55+ countries is the most balanced of international independent marketing communications networks offering a full range of integrated marketing and media communications services. ICOM was founded in 1950 as the National Federation of Advertising Agencies. Today, the network has billings of US$2 billion and gross income of US$300 million.
